Earth Science develops an ability to identify and describe the Earth, its structure and explain processes that affect change in the structure and composition of the earth. Learn about:

Learning to conduct an environmental assessment and produce a report to improve your employment or business opportunities.

Learn how waste is disposed of through natural processes and how to harness those processes to better manage waste disposal. The course covers such things as:

• water quality and treatment,
• recycling,
• domestic and industrial waste and
• management of toxic waste.

In this course you will learn about living organisms, the places they live, and the relationships that occur between them and their environment. This course covers general principles of ecology that can be applied anywhere on our planet.

The course also covers many aspects related to ecology including:

• Animals
• Plant communities and habitats
• Landscapes and
• Environmental Issues such as Greenhouse Effect, Ozone and Waste.

Develop an understanding of the natural environment and basic ecological principles, and learn a variety of skills including:

• nature park design
• basic gardening
• erosion control
• weed control
• and tree surgery.

This course is a natural progression from Nature Park Management I, but can be taken in its own right. It concentrates more on native plants and using them to create natural, balanced ecosystems. Over 15 lessons you also learn to:

• construct ponds and watercourses
• design picnic grounds and animal enclosures
• market a nature park, and lots more.

For amateur bird watchers or people working with birds.

Learn to identify and understand the habits of different birds, from water birds and parrots, to town birds and birds of prey.
